The Good Shepherd Youth Ministries offered its annual Walkathon on a beautiful spring day in the park, Sat. Oct 26th. Themed: ‘Walking with the Saints’ the aim of the Walkathon this year was to bring us to contemplate the sacrifice the Holy Saints and Fathers made for Christ and the Church. Members were offered the option of two courses: 1) 1.5hrs and 2) 40min walks. Both groups set out after 9am traversing the two courses in faith and in cheerful spirits. Our committee organised food and games thereafter aswell as prizes for members who hosted the highest-number of sponsors. The purpose of the Walkathon was to collect funds for our various charities and ministries which include: GSAS, the orphaned, aswell as current and future Church building projects.
