With the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, on Sunday 28.08.2022 on The Feast of Assumption of our Holy Mother the ever Blessed the Virgin Mary; St Shimun Bar Sabbae and St Mary Cathedral under the auspices of His Grace Mar Mari Emmanuel and with the assistance of the fathers and deacons in Sydney Australia celebrated the ordination of nine young men to the rank of deaconship.
The ordination and the laying of the Hands was celebrated by His Grace Mar Mari Emmanuel along with Fr. Sargon Baba, Fr Isaac Royel, our beloved deacons and the entire congregation.
Sub-Deacon Sandres Markhani, Brother Awia Youkhana , Lazar Elia, Tony Tooma, France Toma, George Ibrahim and Andre Ibrahim received the rank of Deacons on this blessed day and Daniel Kakoz and Jacob Shmuel received the rank of Sub-Deacons.
We thank our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for this day which He has made, by choosing these nine young men to serve Him in His Holy Apostolic Church and beseech Him to always bless, guide and protect our beloved newly ordained deacons and all the clergymen.
We pray that the servants of Christ increase more and more for “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few” Matthew 9:37.
